Our Story

From Vision to Reality

SteadFast Logistics Inc was founded in February 2020 by Amrita Sookram, less than a month before COVID-19 reached Guyana. What began as one woman's entrepreneurial dream quickly became a test of resilience. With a global pandemic shutting down business as usual, SteadFast pivoted to social media marketing, building a loyal client base entirely online before opening its first physical office in June 2020.

Since then, the company has grown to become one of the leading real estate firms in Guyana. In 2024, SteadFast became the first real estate company in the country to achieve ISO 9001:2015 certification, and in November 2025, our CEO received the inaugural GNBS Young Entrepreneur Award at the National Quality Awards.

Meet Our Founder

Amrita Sookram

A graduate of North Georgetown Secondary's business stream, Amrita entered the real estate industry at just 20 years old. Described as a "Jane of all trades," she channelled her entrepreneurial spirit into founding SteadFast Logistics Inc in February 2020.

When COVID-19 disrupted business across Guyana just weeks after launch, Amrita pivoted to social media marketing, growing her client base online and opening a physical office by June 2020. Under her leadership, SteadFast has become the first real estate company in Guyana to earn ISO 9001:2015 certification, and she now sits on the GAREP executive committee, helping shape the future of real estate in the country.

In November 2025, Amrita was honoured with the inaugural GNBS Young Entrepreneur Award at the National Quality Awards ceremony, where 35 companies were recognised for their commitment to quality.

First Physical Office

After building a client base online during the pandemic, SteadFast opens its office at 76 B North Railway Line, Kitty, Georgetown.

February 2021

Celebrated 1st Anniversary

Amrita joins the executive committee, helping launch Guyana's first real estate association (GAREP).
